PUAWER005B (Fire Warden)

First Aid Training Group’s Nationally Accredited Fire Warden (PUAWER005B) training course (AS3745-2010) provides participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively fulfill their duties as a Fire Warden in the event of an emergency. First Aid Training Group’s professional industry trainers I.e. professional fire fighters will teach you the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond to or manage an emergency situation.

This course is delivered by industry professionals with over 25 years in emergency management. Our trainers have real-life experience and courses are contextualised for your working environment.

First Aid Training Group’s Nationally Accredited Chief Fire Warden training course (AS3745-2010) provides participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively fulfill their duties as a Chief Fire Warden in the event of an emergency. This includes coordinating a response to an emergency, using fire detection and suppression equipment and liaising with responding emergency services.   • OH&S requirements and current legislation
  • Warden roles and responsibilities
  • Building Safety
  • Fire drills and fire prevention measures
  • Evacuation and assembly priorities and procedures
  • The R.A.C.E system of fire safety

PUAWER008B Confine small workplace emergencies

First Aid Training Group’s Fire Extinguisher training course enables the successful participant to demonstrate how various portable fire protection products are used in emergency situations. The course covers demonstrating the use of a portable fire extinguisher, a fire hose reel and a fire blanket. All work in this area must be completed in accordance with relevant legislative, industry, customer and organisational requirements, including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.

First Aid Training Group’s comprehensive fire equipment practical training course will provide participants with the knowledge, skill and confidence to use the fire safety equipment within their workplace during an emergency. The course covers demonstrating the use of portable fire extinguishers, hose reels plus the effective and safe use of a fire blanket and includes;

Determine the classification and fire type
Select the appropriate fire extinguisher to attack the fire. Demonstrate usage of fire extinguishers safely according to the manufacturers’ instructions, and in accordance with relevant OH&S and workplace policies and procedures.

Demonstrate correct usage of a fire hose reel
Demonstrate usage of the hose reel safely according to manufacturers’ instructions and in accordance with relevant WHS and workplace policies and procedures. Turn off water in the approved sequence and check the hose reel for leaks. Rewind the hose reel correctly after use.

Demonstrate correct usage of a fire blanket

Demonstrate usage of the fire blanket safely according to manufacturers’ instructions and in accordance with the relevant WHS and workplace policies and procedures.

Course Details

The face to face training is 2 hours and covers both the theory and practical aspects of Confine Small Workplace Emergencies.

Certificate Validity
