HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations

By | Accredited Stage Two, First Aid Courses | No Comments

This course provides the knowledge and skills to perform first aid in remote situations where medical attention, help or assistance is delayed. A First Aider may be required to attend to an injured and/or ill person for a longer time period due to geographical barriers to evacuation such as isolated or outback location, rough terrain or inclement weather.

It will give students the skills and knowledge required to provide an effective First Aid response; basic life support, casualty management, management of the incident and other First Aiders in remote situations until handed over to medical or other assistance.
