Knowing what to do in an emergency is essential in providing quality CPR. This course prepares participants to recognise and respond to a casualty requiring CPR. During the course, participants will learn to recognise and respond to unconscious casualties, the use of a defibrillator, the legal requirements, and understanding the Primary Survey approach to an incident. CPR is performed on both adult and infant manikins. Our nationally accredited courses provide participants with the skills to manage emergencies and provide support before the arrival of Paramedics. As per government guidelines for the delivery of this unit of competence, all participants need to be physically fit enough to complete all assessments. This means that elements such as CPR on an adult manikin must be performed on the floor.
