Shocktober at First Aid Training Group – Know Defibrillators, Save Lives
Today in Victoria, 20 people will suffer a cardiac arrest. Only one in ten will survive. When every second counts, knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life. For every minute we delay starting CPR or apply a defibrillator, we lose 10% chance of getting someone back. By knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED we can improve cardiac arrest survival rates and help save lives, together.
This Shocktober we are running three FREE CPR and Defibrillator information sessions for the Ballarat community. Here is your opportunity to learn life-saving skills during a 1-hour information session provided by some of Ballarat’s leading health-care professionals. You’ll learn everything you need to know about performing CPR and using a defibrillator. Plus, attendees will receive exclusive discounts on defibrillators and a free CPR pocket mask.
