The Occupational First Aid Skill Set (Level 3 First Aid) course provides appropriate training for staff who establish, maintain and manage first aid health and safety in the workplace as well as the skills to provide an advanced emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency. The course comprises pre-course learning and practical training plus face-to-face training.

Learning Objectives
The Occupational First Aid Skill (Level 3 First Aid) course comprises learning three (3) different First Aid courses – and meets industry requirements to perform the role and responsibilities required of an Occupational First Aider.
The comprehensive course training comprises of pre-course learning and practical training plus face-to-face training hours within the scope of learning each of the below courses;
HLTAID006 – Provide Advanced First Aid
HLTAID007 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation
HLTAID008 – Manage First Aid Services and Resources
Course Details
The face to face training is 2-3 days and covers both theory and practical aspects of the Provide Advanced First Aid, Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Manage First Aid Services and Resources courses.
Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or may be refused entry.
There is a short multiple choice quiz at the end of the training covering the course theory learnt that day. Students will also be assessed on practical skills as a requirement to pass the course.
Certificate Validity
The HLTSS00027 certificate is valid for three (3) years from the completion date. The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines recommend that CPR be refreshed annually.

Once enrolled, First Aid Training Group will email participants an Occupational First Aid Skill Set booking confirmation with venue details and maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.
