Our People
Managing Director Peter McMahon is strongly committed to public safety. With a decades-long background in emergency management, in his position as a senior manager of the Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (ARFF) and experience in Emergency Medical Response (EMR), Peter established First Aid Training Group in 2015. He is also the Managing Director of Aviation Rescue Services where he can often be found working on safety projects across the world, in particular throughout Asia and the Pacific.
Peter is also a Director of the ARFF Working Group (USA) and Executive Director of the International Aviation Fire Protection Association (IAFPA), and is greatly respected by the international emergency management community where he is often asked to speak at key international conferences.
Ian Eyles is our Operations Manager with a background in training since 2006. He was an Ambulance First Responder for nine years in the CERT program with Ambulance Victoria and a volunteer with the Country Fire Authority for over 16 years having achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Along with training commitments, Ian manages the day to day operations, organises quotes, and is one of our Drug & Alcohol testers. Ian has been an adjudicator on the Minerals Council of Australia in the first aid division of the Victorian Mine Rescue competitions since 2006. He joined the state branch of the Australian Resuscitation Council in 2020.
