An Advanced First Aider is more than just a normal first aider. Someone with Advanced training is able to control a scene with multiple or complex casualties using the people and resources around them.
This intensive course takes the normal first aid officer and elevates them to the ability to control scenes and to incidents within a workplace environment. This may be offered through a mix of blended e-learning and face to face content or fully in-class. Participants gain the necessary skills to undertake the role of an advanced first aider. This course takes 2 days. Where this course is offered with blended learning, the online component will take approximately three hours which must be completed before attendance.
Our instructors are all industry-experienced and come from a background in healthcare and emergency services.
This training covers both theory and practical aspects of the Provide Advanced First Aid course. There is a short multiple choice quiz at the end of the training covering the course theory learnt that day. Students will also be assessed on practical skills as a requirement to pass the course.
Prerequisite: There are no prerequisites.
